Crazy things happen in this world... How is it possible that one of the smallest countries in Europe has managed to dominate a big part of music industry on a global level? Limitation creates excellence and this definitely shows in the 3 members of Dutch production team Refresh Pro.

The trio met in 2008 while studying at the Conservatory and quickly became aware that together they sounded different than most music out there. On second thought, it’s not that strange when you look at each member’s background:

- 1st team member Herman is a piano prodigy with perfect pitch, who is always composing by Michael Jackson’s philosophy: Melody Is King. Even if you don’t like something he’s playing, you’re bound to have his melodies stuck in your head when you wake up the next day.

- 2nd member Jay must have been an African medicine man in a previous life because he just got that rhythm that makes you move. Having a history as a talented jazz drummer and his father being a highly educated jazz drummer / orchestra percussionist, it’s not that surprising either.

- Finally, team captain Michael is responsible for the emotional picturesque sound you’ve come to expect from a Refresh Pro production. Besides being a professional engineer, he has studied composition and marketing on the highest levels. Partly due to this, he has managed to provide his team with the opportunities needed to gain acknowledgement for their gifts.

It took many years of sleeping on cold wooden studio floors, besides many other struggles, but this acknowledgement finally came. Right now, the members of Refresh Pro have been blessed to be working on projects with several Grammy award winners and some of the biggest writers in the world on getting their new ‘Refreshing’ sound out there:
Adele-inspired emotional orchestras, combined with heavy hip hop influenced drums, create a total package extremely suited for R&B vocals.
